What SafeStatement is

SafeStatement is a free tool that converts PDF bank statements into Excel and CSV files. All conversion runs locally in your web browser; your files are not uploaded to us. By using the site you agree to these terms.

Acceptable use

Use the tool only with documents you are legally entitled to possess and process. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you, including any obligations you have to clients if you process documents on their behalf. Do not use the site to alter documents for fraudulent purposes.

Accuracy — check your output

The converter uses automated text extraction, and extraction from PDFs is imperfect by nature: some layouts confuse it, rows can be missed or merged, and numbers can occasionally land in the wrong column. The output is provided as a convenience, not as a source of truth. Always verify converted data against the original statement before using it for accounting, tax, legal, lending, or any other consequential purpose.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of output. We do not guarantee the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SafeStatement and its operator are not liable for any damages arising from use of the site, including losses caused by inaccurate conversion output, missed transactions, or reliance on converted data.

Intellectual property

The site's design, text, and branding belong to SafeStatement. The conversion is powered by open-source libraries (pdf.js, SheetJS) under their respective licenses. Your documents remain entirely yours — we claim no rights over them and never receive them.

Pages may include third-party advertising and analytics as described in the Privacy Policy. Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.

We may update these terms from time to time; the current version will always be at this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
